Today I came from Tokyo to Mount Hiei. I have traveled on foot alone throughout Japan, visiting places I had never been before to sell tickets for Master Idaki Shin's concerts. Even though I have walked across Japan, today I felt as though I were setting out on my first journey alone. I was nervous and thrilled, yet I could not have been happier. With the sense of having arrived in a new land, I am living a new life each day. That is why it is such fun and so joyful to walk with the sense of being there for the first time wherever I go, rather than simply walking through familiar places across Japan. Tomorrow I will go to Fukui. I also sold many tickets there decades ago, in places that were unfamiliar to me. Tomorrow, I will go with the feeling that I am visiting for the first time. Toward Master Idaki Shin's piano and pipe organ concert at Kyoto Concert Hall on December 1st, I hope to create a path for reaching out so that people from across Japan may come. I will set out as though heading toward an unknown world, going wherever my heart leads me, wherever the wind blows. Thank you.
