Today, as I descended from Mount Hiei into Kyoto, the temperature was 40 degrees. It was an extremely hot day. Despite the intense heat, many people joined us at the IDAKI Kyoto Office for Master Idaki Shin’s two lectures, “Ontology” and the “Applied Course.” They were lectures through which yesterday’s concert message, “Today is your youngest day,” became clear. I rarely think about my age in everyday life, yet whenever I visit a medical institution or complete documents that require proof of identity, I sometimes check my age and feel slightly discouraged. Now, however, having truly understood yesterday’s concert message, “Today is your youngest day,” I know that everything lies ahead, and the future is filled with hope and anticipation. Ever since childhood, I have felt that a life bound by time is not a free life. To live within time, with a beginning and an end, makes it unmistakably clear that everything moves toward an ending. This has always led me to wonder why we live and what it means to be human. It was through Master Idaki Shin’s concert, where I experienced transcending time, with neither beginning nor end, that I realized “now” is eternal. I understood that all I need is to live fully “now,” and my life overflowed with joy. Through his improvisational performances, Master Idaki Shin continually expresses what it means to be human and the true meaning of living. Listening to his piano, I experience my life being alive and understand it. Each experience deepens the richness of life. The meaning of living deepens as well. Since childhood, I have continued to pray for the realization of world peace, and believing wholeheartedly that it can truly be achieved, I have devoted myself to making it a reality. I will continue to do so. I can see that when the human inner state changes, the world changes. When one's inner state is liberated through Master Idaki Shin’s concert, we transcend dimensions, and the problems that exist in the present dissolve. We experience life that is united and connected with everyone else’s life, and as the mind that sees other people and nature’s life through objectification melts away, we recover “life” living one life. If every person could have this experience, I can see that there is nothing but peace. To hurt another is to wound one’s own life. Every day I experience painfully, that hurting others and division arise because we perceive others as separate from ourselves. I believe that experiencing unity in life and love through Master Idaki Shin’s concert is the fastest path to realizing peace. The next concert is in Sendai on August 5th, and I sincerely hope to share the experience with many of you. Thank you very much.
