Today, I held “Keiko Koma: My Life Story” at Tokyo Komaya. In the quiet, refined and clear space of Komaya, enveloped by the warmth of solid wood, the moments I am able to share stories of my life are always blissful, and I feel a deep sense of gratitude. My greatest joy in life is that, by sharing the story of my life, I can create a path that leads people to Idaki Counseling Course and to the concerts of Master Idaki Shin. I am living a life I could never have imagined as a child—a life that is a dream within a dream of a dream I could never even have dreamt of. The fact that I was able to resolve the fate I was born with changed everything. A life has unfolded before me in which I can come to understand, through the very act of living, all the questions I have pondered since childhood: why human beings are born, how we should live, what happens when we die, and the meaning of truth, eternity, and love. I could not help but share this life with people throughout the world, and so I started the Idaki Counseling Course and started holding concerts the following year. Forty-three years have now passed. The world has changed profoundly. This is an era in which human strength is needed. We are living in a time where each person must live and express what only human beings can do, creating a world where life can live. The time spent together with those who gather, sharing the exceptionally fine coffee specially roasted by Master Idaki Shin, is one of life’s rich and joyful moments. I am truly filled with gratitude that today, once again, we were able to connect heart to heart, share a pleasant time together, and part with smiles, saying, “See you tomorrow.” Thank you very much.
