Today, Master Idaki Shin roasted coffee at Yui-kobo, which we built in Yamamoto-cho, Miyagi Prefecture, a disaster area affected by the earthquake. Master Idaki Shin is constantly generating new expressions to resolve states that place a burden on life, while becoming united with people and nature. The coffee beans are also embraced by Master Idaki Shin, who brings out their natural medicinal qualities and the grace of nature’s life, roasting an exceptional coffee that cannot be experienced anywhere else. From my perspective, the coffee tastes divine and is full of light. I feel it to be a blessing from God, and I am always deeply thankful to be able to enjoy it. I start every morning by drinking the “Tamashii (soul)” coffee roasted by Master Idaki Shin. Coffee has become a companion in my life. Even in difficult times, painful times, and exhausting times, when I drink this coffee, strength begins to arise within me. Today also, many people came to Yui-kobo and the place was brimming with excitement. Everyone’s smiles convey just how delicious the coffee is. We all gather with smiles on our faces, enjoy a pleasant time together, then return to our individual places, and we will meet again at the concert venue. It was a wonderful experience, and from tomorrow, we will also be serving freshly roasted “Komaya Special Ceremony Coffee” at Tokyo Komaya. I am deeply grateful for this blessing and will continue to devote myself to our activities in Tokyo. Thank you very much.
