Messages from Keiko Koma

24th June. 2026 / at Morioka

Today we set out from Tokyo to Morioka. The lush green of trees and the delicate swaying of flowers and grasses in the wind are so lovely and beautiful—they bring back vivid memories of many moments from my childhood. Trees and plants always give me the experience of returning to my origin. In quiet conversation with them, the feelings of my early years come back to life. Throughout my life, I have always wished for peace. I am deeply grateful to be able to work earnestly now toward making that wish a reality, and I give thanks each day as I go about my activities, feeling that I could not be more blessed. What a beautiful path to peace it is—that the beauty of the human inner state creates a beautiful world. Through this, I am given the irreplaceable experience of deepening what it means to live as a human being and of deepening the very essence of humanity. It has now become clear to me that becoming more fully human is what creates a better world. What I experienced at yesterday's concert was my realization that if many people could share this experience, peace would surely come. It brings me immense joy that I will be able to hold, with a renewed heart, concerts where many people gather. With a new life opening before me, I take a fresh step forward toward the great dream of realizing peace. I would be happy if we could all live new lives together. And I hope that we may live with vitality and happiness and work together so that we may build a world in which all people across the globe can truly live. I will carry this out, without fail. Thank you very much.
