Today, we held the “Gathering of a Journey Through the Land of Koguryo” at Tokyo Komaya. Whenever I am in the land of Koguryo, my true being appears. Wishing to live each day while revealing myself, surrounded by the warmth of wood at Komaya, in an exceptional acoustic environment, showing footage of the land of Koguryo filmed by Master Idaki Shin and putting on music played by him, I have been improvisationally reciting poetry that arises within me. No matter how many times I see these images, they are always new—living in the present, moment by moment. They are universal and eternal.
Today, I felt I recited a prophetic poem. There was a moment when I saw with complete clarity that a new era would lift its curtain on June 23rd, Master Idaki Shin's birthday. At the same time, I can sense that life itself is preparing for that day. Life anticipates the future and awaits it with joy. I cannot help but tell others about an event of such historic significance. The happiness of being present in such a place is beyond compare. I sincerely hope to gather and create together a place where we celebrate Master Idaki Shin's birthday. It would be my greatest joy if—united in heart and soul—we could celebrate his birthday, deeply receive the expression of his life, and live lives that open the new era.
At Tokyo Komaya, I am grateful from my heart to share with everyone the irreplaceable moments of enjoying delicious coffee and wonderful sweets while expressing the deepest wishes that arise within us through poetry.
