At Koma Gallery Café, located at the foot of Yasaka Pagoda, I had the opportunity to hold “Keiko Koma—My Life Story.” When I went to greet the pagoda, the souls there were soaring and shining. When our activities in Kyoto resumed in 2008, they were buried beneath the earth, and layers of darkness covered the ground. Now, those layers of darkness have been excavated, and the souls once buried beneath the earth have been released, emerged, and revived. They now fly freely through space, shining brightly and helping us. As I speak while embraced by the wind blowing from Yasaka Pagoda, a space unfolds filled with infinitely clear stillness. I feel this place is Koguryo. I created the place as “a café where the wind of Koguryo blows.” Although the streets outside are overflowing with people, inside the Koma Gallery Café there is profound tranquility. United in heart, everyone listens to my story. After talking, I feel immense happiness when sharing “Tamashii” (soul) coffee, roasted by Master Idaki Shin, served in cups he created, together with the matcha dorayaki made from rice flour by the staff of Yasaka Koma Gallery Café, with those who participated. It is a joyful time in which everyone’s heart connects deeply with the rest. I feel that if spaces like this spread, peace will come into being. When the inside of human beings is at peace, a peaceful world can be created. The state of each individual’s inner state is what creates peace. As I spoke today, I once again realized that the fundamental solution lies in the liberation of the inner state. I am deeply grateful for the happiness of gathering together, connecting heart to heart, and spending such rich and joyful moments with everyone. Praying that this very moment may arise simultaneously throughout the world, I continue to live in Japan while always working to move forward toward the realization of world peace. The beautiful moments at Yasaka Koma Gallery Café still shine vividly within my heart. Together with the souls of my ancestors, the time shared with all who gathered there is eternal. Thank you very much.
