Messages from Keiko Koma

21st May. 2026 / at Mt.Hiei

In the rain, I passed along the tree-lined avenue of Jindaiji Temple, wet in the rain. The trees shone vivid green, saturated with rain, and filled with fresh energy that cleansed my life, while a refreshing wind swept through me deep inside. Simply sensing the energy of the trees filled my life with joy and vitality. Today, we traveled by car from Tokyo to Mount Hiei. Although the rain fell heavily, there were moments when it ceased, revealing mountains and trees whose young leaves sparkled with vitality. They gave me courage and allowed me to drive safely and powerfully to Mount Hiei. During the journey, I reflected on many things about life. I now contemplate the workings of life in which the starting point is for life that came into this world to be lived according to how it functions. When I think that all we need to do is live in accordance with the workings of life, living itself becomes a source of hope. When we are weighed down by sorrow over the many things in this world, simply being alive can become painful, but when we come to understand the workings of life that continually function so that life is lived, we experience "now.” Each day, I feel that living is nothing other than a continuous succession of living “now.” I have become much more at ease, and naturally I find myself able to accomplish things. Tomorrow, Master Idaki Shin will give a concert in Kyoto . I am sincerely grateful and deeply excited for the further leap forward that will become possible. Thank you very much.
