At yesterday’s “Legends of Koguryo Rediscovered,” I clearly saw and experienced the opening of a new era, and this morning I awoke to a new dawn. The birds were singing a jubilant chorus. Their voices were announcing the arrival of a new era. The wind, too, moved gently and freely in every direction. It was telling me that from now on anything is possible. I was filled with joy and hope of being able to live a new life. I am deeply grateful to have reached such a state of mind. In an era that is drawing to a close, when one is swallowed by the current of the times, the heart grows dark as though life itself is coming to an end, and all hope disappears. Yet when one lives in an infinite world inside, a spirit arises that feels capable of anything, and it becomes possible to live with the sense that life is only just beginning. This brings me joy. And when moving toward the future, it is deeply joyful. I feel profoundly relieved to have broken free, and my heart overflows with gratitude. Today as well, the green trees shone brilliantly, overflowing with the energy of life. The radiance of leaves seen by the window was beautiful and deeply nourishing to my heart. Just as the life of nature lives so vividly, I learn each day that for us, too, to live vibrantly is indeed the way of living in accordance with the workings of life itself. I also understand clearly that suffering and stagnation arise when we resist the workings of life. I now understand that human beings are meant to live far more freely and radiantly, and I feel that living itself means heading toward life’s realization. Everything has now turned into hope. I look forward to what is to come. When I keep moving toward the future, though the future is unknown, my heart sparkles and life itself leaps with vibrancy. Thank you very much.
