Today, for the only time in March, we held “Keiko Koma Coffee Ceremony – From Deepest Demands of Life to Creation.” Specifically for this occasion, Master Idaki Shin roasted Komaya Special Ceremony Coffee the day before yesterday at Yui Kobo. When I tasted it at Yui Kobo, I was surprised by how strong the coffee was. I contemplated how I could brew such coffee well, but I saw a light within and felt a definite clue, and knew that I could brew it.
Today, though nervously, since Master Idaki Shin roasted such superb coffee, wishing I could brew it so that the taste would come out exactly as it is, I headed to Komaya. I brewed the coffee, changing the amount. The first coffee that I brewed, when I saw just how much to use, I screamed one word: “God!”. I saw a perfect and beautiful shape. I was born with the ability to see shapes in the lives and processes of nature, people’s voices and words. I saw a perfect shape in this ceremony coffee, and when I verbalized it, it became the word “God.” It was delicious beyond any dimensions. How delightful it is to be able to live, drinking such delicious coffee.
Having roasted coffee so perfectly, how wonderful Master Idaki Shin is! I was deeply impressed. No one can do such a divine thing unless it is a person who can become united with the lives of nature and humans and live connected to the world that transcends dimensions. I am filled with gratitude for being able to have such coffee. The customers enjoyed it very much also. I also experienced that when people have delicious things, everyone becomes bright, vigorous and happy. It is truly a gratifying thing to be able to spend time thus.
Wars continue around the world, and many people are sacrificed, living in tension, fear and anxiety. Wishing always for a solution as soon as possible, I think about what I can do in Japan and execute it. Since human lives are connected as one life, I realized through today’s experience that if we who live in Japan have the center of our lives decided, it will be connected to people all over the world.
To manifest our existence as human beings and live shining brilliantly will spread to the world, which I can see, and this always gives me hope. Moments at the events at Komaya are filled with light and filled with hope for the future. By conversing with one another, I could see what I must do next, and I am happy to be able to head toward creating a future.
Wishing for wars that sacrifice lives to be over as soon as possible and for the world to become a world where people all over the world can live healthily, I am living each day with the desire to create such a situation.
Tomorrow, I will hold an event at Komaya again. It has become a strength to live to have the opportunity to express, drink delicious coffee with everyone and have the opportunity for our feelings to be in communion. Thank you very much.
