Messages from Keiko Koma

28th Feb. 2026 / at Mt,Hiei

While suffering from terrible hay fever symptoms, I drove from Tokyo to Mt. Hiei. Travelling while gazing nostalgically on scenery made me feel as though I were beginning a new life. The moon floating in the clear, deep blue night sky was historical. I felt with my body that this is the space where Great Being is manifested, and I straightened my posture. When I arrived at Mt. Hiei, I learnt from the news that the United States and Israel had attacked Iran. I felt an overwhelming sense of sadness. No one wishes for war, so I cannot understand what kind of reason could ever make it necessary to start a war. Even though I have many thoughts and many emotions, I clearly felt my center, choosing not to engage in things that lead nowhere, and instead to make use of my desire to work toward creating the future and a world in which human lives will not be sacrificed. The loss of so many precious lives must not be allowed to occur. The sacredness of the workings of human life makes me feel as if I am seeing God. It is human beings who create a society where irreplaceable lives remain unharmed, shining brilliantly and continuing to live. A strong feeling arose within me to pave the way towards creating a world where each individual's life is filled with love and light, and where all people can live. Today, through Ukrainian people living in Japan, we worked together to make it possible for people in Ukraine to listen to the on-demand recording of Master Idaki Shin’s concert, and we were able to carry this out. I pray that when hearts are filled with light and love, the surrounding environment and circumstances may change. I am determined to explore possibilities and stake everything on them, seeking to create a path where human lives remain unharmed and can live healthily, and to put this into action. March begins tomorrow. The arrival of spring is a joy. I wish to live a life filled with happiness alongside the seasons, together with people all over the world. May the war end as soon as possible, and may weapons never be used again. I sincerely wish for us all to create a world where beautiful people can live, and I will strive to realize this by living each day. Thank you very much.
