Today, for the first time in a while, we held the Keiko Koma Coffee Ceremony “From One’s True Demands of Life to Creation,” along with “Today’s Talk” and a poetry gathering at Tokyo Café Komaya.
Since the space of Tokyo Café Komaya is a sacred space, before welcoming our guests I wished to organize my internality and settle my consciousness so that it could be united with the whole. For this reason, I share the ceremony coffee together with the staff.　It is a coffee that is only served here.
This coffee is specially roasted by Master Idaki Shin exclusively for the coffee ceremony at Komaya. It is prepared in a special way and poured into cups created by Master Idaki Shin himself. When the energy of the cup and the energy of the coffee become united, there is a bodily sensation of connecting to the universe.
With just a single sip, the entire body becomes warm, and even perspiration begins to appear. Today, to my surprise, the back of my head became hot. When I began to sweat, I was truly astonished.
At that moment, I realized the initial cause of the suffering I had experienced since yesterday, when external energies had entered my body. As my head became hot, it felt as though what had been clinging to me was released, and I was able to welcome our guests in a very good state. For this, I am deeply grateful.
Komaya is a place where each person can regain oneself and make a leap forward. The daifuku served together with the ceremony coffee is something I have named “Good Luck Daifuku,” and it is made by me. Although it is daifuku, it is remarkably refreshing. The heart becomes empty, the sensation of receiving many forms of working and light spreads throughout the body, and a power arises as if anything were possible. When enjoyed together with the coffee, the entire body becomes filled with light.
Together with the staff and our guests, we rejoiced and felt deep gratitude, sensing that this is an experience necessary in life. It is a world overflowing with information, where diverse energies swirl and intertwine.
From childhood, I have had a constitution that easily receives various energies. Because of this, I would suddenly feel pain or darkness and suffered from being unable to understand or organize the constant changes within myself. However, now that I am living after having regained myself, I notice more quickly and am able to bring things into order more swiftly.
What is best is a space where negative energies do not stir. Such a space is created by human internality, and I have come to realize that when human internality is rich and beautiful, it creates a world in which everyone can live.
Today at Komaya, together with those who came, we experienced our internality being purified and various attachments and limitations dissolving. I see that this energy is spreading throughout the world. To share such a good experience with everyone and have it expand into the world is a great hope for me.
Tomorrow, at Tokyo Café Komaya, we will hold “Komaya Special.” Being able to hold it exactly as I see it feels like a sign that the future is opening, and my heart flutters with excitement.
