Since the beginning of this year, I have stopped acting from a sense of “what I have to do” and have instead begun to move in accordance with my wishes, with what I see, and with what I receive as what I call revelations. Inspiration comes in abundance, and countless things I wish to do arise. Above all, I am deeply grateful that expressions are born. To be able to see that the future will surely open on this path becomes an even greater source of hope, giving me strength to move forward. Lately, I keep sensing the fragrance of poetry. Some of our volunteer members are hosting an exhibition of my poetry collection. If I can create such opportunities, too, I will be delighted and wish to hold gatherings where people can encounter poetry. In the “Legends of Koguryo Rediscovered,” I compose improvised poems, and from time to time I also offer what I call “Soul Dialogues.” I also love writing poems in ink on washi paper, and I exhibit these as works of art. It suddenly came to me, through their fragrance, that it would be wonderful to hold an exhibition where the scent of ink wafts. Each day, I feel deep joy in opening the way forward while engaging in what makes my heart sparkle. At the same time, I am constantly aware of the severity of the world’s circumstances where many are losing their lives, and I feel the suffering and sorrow of those who are living in extremely difficult conditions. Thus, while being here in Japan, I continually reflect on what can be done. I believe that creating the future in any situation, and living each moment illuminated by light, becomes the greatest source of strength, and I strive to live accordingly each day. As the inner state of human beings is unified, when the inside is rich, I can see that we connect through space simultaneously with people across the world who are living richly in the same way. This is my hope for living. When the heart grows dark, thinking that such darkness also affects others, while wishing for the inner state to open by sensing the far beyond, I wait for that moment. Fortunately, with a single deep breath, clouds and sorrow dissolve at once, and the inner state connects with the far beyond, giving rise to the vibrant movement of life living within an infinite world. I live with the sense that how we live each day is being questioned. With the heartfelt wish that the world may become unified, as soon as possible, in which people everywhere can live in health and peace, I am moving forward each day to pave the way forward. Thank you.
