Idaki Entrepreneur Course was held today, January 17th, the date on which the Great Hanshin Earthquake occurred. 31 years have already passed. Both Master Idaki Shin and I were caught in the very heart of the earthquake. Having survived, while conveying the necessity of nurturing the sensitivity of life throughout Japan, we have conducted concerts by Master Idaki Shin. As I offered a moment of silent prayer, living on the Japanese archipelago where earthquakes can strike at any time and in any place, a feeling welled up within me to continue our concert activities while sharing the importance of cultivating the sensitivity of life. Today as well, I have realized many things and bowed my head profoundly. I keenly feel the preciousness of life within me. I have come to understand, in a way that has sunk deeply into me, that when one treats one’s own life lightly, one also comes to treat the lives of others lightly. By shining brilliantly while living we can create a society where people can live. When I hear the message of life, I recognize that living to adapt to this society often harms life and goes against the workings of life. The feeling that is born is one’s voice of life. I always express it as one’s true demand of life, and I am filled with an overwhelming desire wholeheartedly to pursue a path to create a place where life can live. It is then that I truly feel that I am alive. Thank you very much.
