Today marked the final event of the year at Tokyo Komaya. Every gathering was fully booked, and the space was filled with energy. With each gathering we hold, the focus moves ever closer to what is essential, and I feel myself being guided in the direction I most truly wish to pursue. As I reflected on the coming year, I arrived at the wish to create gatherings where we can exchange poetry and engage in heartfelt dialogue. Spoken language often contains much redundancy and explanatory phrasing. As a result, I have experienced many conversations in the past that could not move forward because the essential things were not fully expressed. From here on, I believe that expressing wishes at the very core and continuing to move forward is what will open a new era. I have come to realize that a life in which one gives words to what arises within and creates one’s path of living is what it means to live a true life. The new year will be a year to realize one’s true self. I am deeply grateful that this final gathering of the year at Koma-ya allowed our hearts to connect and gave rise to a shared wish to work toward the same goal. Since the renovation, many people have come to this space, and together with everyone, I have been blessed with irreplaceable experiences. Thank you sincerely. With a renewed spirit, I will prepare to welcome everyone to the events of the new year. Thank you very much.
