We held Keiko Koma’s coffee ceremony, “From One’s True Demands of Life to Creation,” and “Today’s Talk and Dialogue,” at Tokyo Cafe Komaya again today.
I myself experienced the coffee ceremony for the first time. Taking a sip of the coffee exclusively roasted for the ceremony by Master Idaki Shin from the special cup that he has specially made into which it has been poured is like drinking sacred water. Then light fills the space and the dimension changes.
Today I saw a forest, and it felt as if I were inside it. I could hear birds singing, and my heart was brightened by their beautiful voices and became joyful.
And to my disbelief, the first king of Koguryo, King Dongmyeong, appeared as light . My heart leapt up and overflowed with joy at his brilliantly shining young presence; joy ran through my body all at once, and people gathered around King Dongmyeong.
As the sun set and night fell, I could see a way of life in which, during the night, I sort out my internality beautifully so that there is nothing. It was as if I were at Mt. Wunu.
I was deeply moved to be able to see such a story simply by having a cup of coffee. Then I suddenly had an idea of what I wanted to do. Since I had heard from Master Idaki Shin not to deny a flash of inspiration, a sense of vitality welled up within me, urging me to express this inspiration, try it, and move toward an unknown world.
What I want to do is to convey Idaki to the world. I am delighted to create a new path by manifesting my flash of inspiration. Thank you very much.
