Today at Tokyo Café Komaya, we held Keiko Koma’s coffee ceremony, “From One’s True Demands of Life to Creation”, and “Today’s Talk and Dialogue”. At the coffee ceremony, I serve ceremonial coffee that has been specially roasted by Master Idaki Shin at the roasting facility of “Yui-Kobo”, which we built in a disaster-affected area. I brew the coffee using a special method, pour it into handmade cups created by Master Idaki Shin, and serve it to everyone. And I also make daifuku for everyone to enjoy with coffee. We are given the opportunity to experience the process of purification, cleansing, and creation. I too experienced having a full set for the first time, served in the same manner as it is offered to our guests. First, sacred water was poured, then light filled my body, and next, the dimension itself began to shift. I truly experienced purification, cleansing and creation. Through drinking the coffee and enjoying the daifuku, I experienced that when everything unnecessary falls away, one encounters the future and creation is born. I am profoundly grateful to have personally experienced such an extraordinary ceremony and now to be able to share it with everyone with great enthusiasm. We hold the coffee ceremony at Komaya with the heartfelt wish that through experiencing the coffee ceremony, each person will open the path to one’s true life and realize and live one’s authentic self. I believe that having the opportunity and a place such as this can greatly open one’s life, and I pray that this experience will benefit everyone, enabling one to lead a rich and happy life. We also hold “Keiko Koma: My life story” for guests visiting Komaya, as well as live-streaming it. I wish to create a path for people to connect with Master Idaki Shin, thus I am sharing the story of my life since encountering him. As I tell my story, I find myself grateful to realize that there is no life more wonderful than this, and that this is indeed a true life. The more I understand, the more strength wells up within me. I recognize that this is a time unlike any before, a time in which a true life can be realized. Because we are now in a time of crisis and at our limits, this is an era in which we must change in order to survive. Living according to the destiny inherited from one's parents and ancestors has its limitations. Being liberated from destiny and discovering, expressing, and living as one’s true self is the path to opening a new era and surviving within it. I am working to share this with people all over the world. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to share my life story today also. At the end, I prepared KOMAGESHA coffee for the participants, and they all expressed great joy and said how delicious it was. Sharing delicious tastes and mutual joy together truly is a moment of happiness. Thank you very much.
