Messages from Keiko Koma

29th Nov. 2025 / in Tokyo

From the state and changes of my body, I feel that yesterday’s experience at the "Legends of Koguryo Rediscovered" was truly extraordinary. I felt many souls pass through my body, and exhaustion does not feel like something belonging to me alone. Yet within, there is radiant light and overflowing strength and will to create a new world. The message of Ulchi Mundok, the legendary general who appeared as if present in the "Legends of Koguryo Rediscovered", remains alive in my heart: “There is nothing stronger — not even military force — than the power of living in one life.” The performance of Master Idaki Shin at that moment still envelops my entire being. On stage, my blood boiled, filled with the energy to fight—not a fight to harm or kill others, but a fight to dispel evil and distorted energy, and boldly to open a beautiful world. I have always known that this blood flows in me; whenever I hear brave and powerful music, my life instinctively stirs and dances, and through that response, I come to understand what I truly wish to do. From the depths of my heart rises the wish to create a world where no life is sacrificed and where everyone’s life shines. Today at Koma-ya, we held a screening of the "Legends of Koguryo Rediscovered" held in Ohrid and a session of “Today’s Talk and Dialogue.” Because this took place right after experiencing yesterday’s concert, it became a precious opportunity better to understand yesterday’s experience, for which I am deeply grateful. I was astonished that a poem I read eighteen years ago now clearly points to this very moment. Realizing that what is universal is always present brought me great joy. Through dialogue, expressing what we experienced allowed deeper understanding, which became a precious experience. Owing to people's presence, we can speak with one another, and because there are others who share the same experience, mutual understanding and fresh awareness can appear through new expressions. I am truly grateful for such opportunities. And as I feel there is still more to express tomorrow, I am delighted and thankful that we will continue with “Today’s Talk and Dialogue.” Tomorrow, we will also screen the "Legends of Koguryo Rediscovered" held in Beijing. Even through screening, impact reaches the world, so I sincerely pray that this will bring about changes in world situations. Thank you.
