Messages from Keiko Koma

22nd Oct. 2025 / in Tokyo

Today was a rainy day. The temperature dropped, and it felt as though winter had arrived suddenly after autumn. As planned, though it was raining, we did marbling in the evening. To my surprise, as soon as we began, the rain stopped. As always, I felt deep gratitude for the workings of nature. From time to time, when raindrops fell into the water, they spread into the fabric, creating patt
rns that were truly magical and beautiful. Because there are marbling works that capture the very moment when the rain touches the water, we can see with our eyes the richness and beauty of nature. I recognize that nature is always beautiful in every single moment. I feel grateful to live surrounded by marbling artworks, wearing marbling items that capture those moments, as such a life is full of richness. Every time, I am deeply moved and astonished by the dynamic and romantic patterns that appear, which reach into the depths of my inner being and reflect a world that allows us to soar into the universe. I can see that the works that emerge in this way have power to transform space, and this fills me with hope. The rain began to pour down, telling us that it was time to finish. We quickly cleaned up and enjoyed delicious Lebanese cuisine together. At the end, we had hot coffee, which deeply nourished our hearts, and we spent a joyful and profitable time. I have recently begun to realize that when each and every moment is joyful and rich, that is true happiness. I rejoice to know that these moments are what create a happy future. I make an effort to live cherishing each and every moment. From tomorrow, Tokyo Komaya will hold Keiko Koma Coffee Ceremony, From One’s True Demands of Life to Creation. In the evening, we will hold Today’s Talk and Dialogue. From here, I wish to create a new world and realize a peaceful world. Making use of my innate gift of seeing the invisible, from Tokyo Komaya, the center of the world, I will move forward toward realizing peace. Thank you.
