Messages from Keiko Koma

5th Oct. 2025 / in Tokyo

Today, through heavy traffic, we made our way to the Training Institute for the IDAKI Counseling Course. My tendency always to think ahead of myself clearly appeared once again, and I realized how much I had been ignoring what it truly means to live “here and now.” I came to understand, through my own life, that life is “living” in every single moment, and I found myself saying “I’m sorry” to my body for having hurt it by disregarding the workings of life. It became an experience of understanding that no matter what happens, to live “here and now” is what it means to live. Master Idaki Shin’s improvisational performance is the expression of “now, from moment to moment.” Through his music, I have come to feel and understand that in "here and now,” there is love, eternity, and the entirety of life. I believe that only when we apply this experience in our daily lives does living gain true meaning and the purpose of our birth is realized. Now, filled with immeasurable guidance, I feel that whatever happens, to center myself on the light within and to live by expressing that light is the true way of living. Various things occur in this world. It is full of many painful and sorrowful events that weigh heavily on the heart, yet I know deeply that staying in such a state brings no solution. I have found that expressing the light within and creating the future through it is what opens the path for all people to live. Each day, I reclaim the way of life that expresses the innermost wishes born in every moment. I learned that tomorrow will be the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival. As it appeared to me, we will hold the “Autumn Poetry Gathering” at Komaya tomorrow. I later discovered that it coincides with this special day, and I feel truly delighted. To share the beauty of nature’s rhythm and the spirit of the season with people with deep connections is a rich and precious moment in life. I am sincerely grateful to be able to hold such an event. Thank you very much.
