Today is October 1st, the day to honor heaven in ancient Koguryo. At Mitaka City Public Hall in my hometown, we held the “Legends of Koguryo Rediscovered.” It was an experience of soaring from the world of darkness to the heavenly realm. The fragrance of the earth’s rich blessings filled the air, and I saw each living creature and every person’s life shining with light, offering gratitude to heaven. Through these sounds, I came to know that this must have been how the people of ancient Koguryo once honored heaven. It was an abundantly profound experience, for which I am deeply grateful.
Longing for words to be born as unified with beings, I read poetry on stage with utmost seriousness. Though challenges remain, I could touch the very essence of how to live, and I felt there could be no greater gift. My heart was overflowing with gratitude. At the end, I was lifted beyond dimensions, and I felt clouds and shadows within me vanish. I am sincerely grateful.
I clearly understand that the new era is an era of living life sacred as itself. To remain in the past and allow darkness to enter oneself belongs to an age already gone. From this day on, I set out anew, resolved to devote myself to expressing my innermost wishes and the expressions of my soul to open the path to a new time. I am deeply grateful to all who gathered. To have shared with everyone the experience of building a new era is a blessing beyond measure. Thank you very much.
