Today, Master Idaki Shin’s piano concert was held in Mitaka. I realized how easily, distracted by the continuous heat, I had forgotten the working of nature. Our lives are sustained by countless works—of nature, of great guidance, and of souls. And today, I experienced love. Through Master Idaki Shin’s piano performance, I always experience love. Again, I understood with my whole being that there is no other word but “love” to describe the state I entered. I experienced, through my life, being united with the whole—living united with others, with no separation or boundaries. When love is present, people naturally gather, love spreads, and a field where we can live expands. The act of living is itself the nation-building of love, and realizing this fills me with joy. Living with love is what it means to be human. I learned with my whole being that being human means to live with the blessing of abundant guidance. Returning to this origin, I regained what it means to be human and was embraced by a peaceful feeling. When I saw the thin and frail faces of starving children in Palestine, tears immediately welled up, and I felt sorrow from the depths of my heart. I truly wish from the bottom of my heart to create a beautiful world where everyone, being born human, can live in peace and harmony. I hope to live each day with love, so the circle of love may grow. Today, I could share a precious experience with many people. With all my heart, thank you.
