Day by day, June 23rd draws nearer. I am deeply grateful to be walking this earnest path toward the 23rd. I am experiencing what it means to live as a human being. I am truly thankful for this unparalleled opportunity. Today, I faced the painful truth that many people have given up. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, I feel that the way people live has changed completely. I couldn’t help but feel that the world was coming to an end—it was deeply painful. That is why I feel, deep in my heart, that we must never give up and keep creating a world where humanity can truly live. Whenever I see footage or photos of wars in the world, my heart aches and fills with unbearable sorrow. We must face reality and take action. Today, witnessing both the state of the world and the reality of Japan, I felt a deep awakening. There’s no time to grieve or hesitate. I clearly see that to stop is to be trapped in darkness—drawn into a world that is ending. When we take a step forward, we see a mountain of things to do. The more we do, the more there is to be done. I deeply feel that nothing begins unless we start moving. Today made me realize that from now on, what matters most is to keep moving forward. The path of working to bring people to our concert is full of learning and discovery. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to walk the path while becoming human. With hope to take another step forward, I walk toward tomorrow. Every day, having conversations with people across the country on Zoom gives me strength. I'm truly happy and grateful that we can come together, transcending place and distance. Thank you.
