June 1st—from today, I’m wholeheartedly determined to move straight toward Master Idaki Shin’s birthday concert in Kyoto on the 23rd. Yesterday, I found myself shouting, “Starting tomorrow, I will be reborn!” I felt grateful that the change of the month gave me the feeling of being reborn. Today, I held the event “Keiko Koma: My Life Story” at the Keiko Koma Skyrocket Center in Omotesando. People across Japan held gatherings to listen to the livestream, and I look forward to hearing how each person felt. I felt happy and grateful for the opportunity to connect with people across the country while staying in Tokyo. When I communicated with the participants, many shared valuable experiences—such as gaining a clearer view of their own life, or discovering what they want to do from a new perspective. I am sincerely grateful that sharing my life story has become an opportunity for each person to contemplate and recognize one’s own life as it comes to light. I believe a society where people can reflect on life will lead to the making of a better nation. I have deeply felt that a society where we forget to reflect—or give up on it, thinking it’s meaningless—is not a place where people can live. I believe that when each person earnestly contemplates one’s own life and lives to fulfill the meaning of being born and living, our social environment will naturally transform. I see what we are doing as a nation-building endeavor. Afterward, I gave a talk entitled “Heading Toward June 23rd." It was streamed live to people across Japan. I felt the future opening before us—the gathering was filled with rising energy. With such a wonderful start, I feel we can make great strides forward this June. Each day, I will live with full focus—moving straight ahead. With the hope of heartily celebrating Master Idaki Shin’s resurrection concert and his birthday with everyone, I am working toward a full house together with many people. I’m filled with joy and happiness for the opportunity to walk this path together with others. Thank you.
