Today, while a spring wind blew a spring storm , I felt that a new era had opened. The sight of green tree leaves against the blue sky was ineffably beautiful, which moved me and shook my soul. Perhaps this was what it meant to be alive. Though it was frustrating that I could not fully express what “this” was, the experience of every moment with my whole being was filled with light and brimming with energy. Today, a new event called “Kat-chan’s Diner” was held for the first time at Kitchen Labo. Under the supervision of Mr.Katsuaki Saito, the theme was to create freely as he wished. Today was Okinawa cuisine. Professional chefs came to help. In the kitchen, everyone worked joyfully and happily in harmony. The flyer for today’s event said, “the joy of cooking, the happiness of eating.” The energy in the kitchen was exactly the joy of preparing a meal. And I certainly felt the happiness of eating it. I had felt from before that Okinawa cuisine is healthy. I sometimes craved it but did not have the opportunity to enjoy it in Tokyo. Today, while Okinawa dishes were served one after another, each time I looked forward to what would come next. The dessert at the end was original, which I heard was made by the inspiration of everyone. It was full of presence, and I expressed how happy I was to be able to enjoy such a dessert. I very much enjoyed Kat-chan’s Diner, where I fully felt the happiness of eating. Nourishing ourselves is important, so an opportunity to enjoy delicious food with others is a happy time. Thank you.
