Messages from Keiko Koma

12th Apr. 2025 / at Yamamoto-cho

After the concert, there was a sense of having conquered a great mountain. It wasn’t my own doing, yet just by sitting at the concert, I could surmount a big hurdle in my heart. I felt grateful from the bottom of my heart, and a deep sense of gratitude kept welling up for being saved. Today, Master Idaki Shin roasted coffee beans at Yui-kobo in Yamamoto Town. The new roasting machine is big, so it can roast a large amount in no time. It’s a busy time. When I brewed the freshly roasted coffee, it was filled with energy and love. People talk and laugh over coffee, which creates a bright atmosphere, almost like a festival. I imagined for the first time that this kind of space is what a genuine festival is like. The experience of Master Idaki Shin’s expression is the experience of being human from moment to moment. The more I understand, the deeper my gratitude becomes for the truly blissful experience. In front of Yui-kobo, dandelions were in bloom, joyfully announcing the arrival of spring. I’d be happy if we could all get along and work together. Having overcome a great hurdle in Tohoku, I returned to Tokyo. Next week is Kyoto and Mount Hiei. While I brace myself for another big challenge, no matter what happens, I know that I can overcome it through Master Idaki Shin’s lectures and concerts. I’m so grateful for this blessing. The more hurdles you overcome, the more you grow. And the more you leap. It’s a tremendously blessed life. I am sincerely grateful for another opportunity to drink delicious coffee, meet those who came, and enjoy the moment of a pleasant gathering today. Thank you.
