Messages from Keiko Koma

9th Apr. 2025 / at Morioka

Today, we held Master Idaki Shin’s piano and pipe organ concert in Morioka. The wonderful message contained what I had always sought, and while I was filled with deep gratitude for the opportunity to experience what the message conveyed, the concert began. I could board the Galaxy Express right away and enter an unknown world. A world with nothing familiar was a little frightening, but the experience of perpetual emergence from moment to moment made me vibrant and filled me with a sense of truly being alive. I learned for the first time that everything exists in “nothing.” When I grasped that, I understood that each moment is the moment of meeting the unknown world and the experience of birth. Riding the Galaxy Express to travel through the universe was comfortable, free, and enriching. The strength to accept anything and everything emerged. The second half of the concert was titled “The heart and soul of the Jomon people.” I had a deep experience of being one of them in life. I had been suffering from the limits of separating everything through the mind that objectifies. Painfully knowing that this state is the mind of modern people, I had been wanting to break free from it. As the times changed, I began sensing deeply the limits of the objectifying mind. While I experienced the heart and soul of Jomon and the state of being unified in life, my mind that objectified things was embraced in the energy of “one in life, love” and melted away. I was at ease both in my mind and body after being embraced by Great Being in the vast universe. I came to experience that being embraced and embracing others and supporting each other is what it means to be human. If we help one another, there will be no conflict. Humans live unified in life. All live one life and are connected, and this gives me hope and ease. The mind that judged right or wrong constantly wore me out. As things got separated into two, even life itself felt meaningless when I was forced to make the difficult decision of choosing one over the other. If all lives are one and if what I do paves the way for everyone to live, I can live with hope and joy, free from emptiness or suffering. As I regained the heart and soul of Jomon, it gave me great hope that we can live unified in life and create a world where everyone can live. The concert showed me the way to live going forward. My life has changed from today. Thank you.
