Messages from Keiko Koma

17th Jan. 2025 / in Tokyo

January 17th is the day that the Great Hanshin Earthquake occurred. I was right in the middle of it and experienced it firsthand. I can’t believe that 30 years have passed since then, but since we do not know when and where an earthquake will hit in Japan, I deeply feel that it is very important to cultivate one’s life’s sensitivity. The day started with the gentle sight of Mt. Fuji, covered in silvery white snow against the blue sky, jumping into my heart. Wanting to hear the message of the wind, "Kaze no tayori," and listening to the sound of the wind with a clear heart, I was surprised and felt hopeful that a different movement and direction of flow was being created.
The emergence of a completely new movement that was not going in a single direction, fills my heart with excitement as I wonder how it will take shape in the future. I am taught that to live is to be as one with many beings and works, working upon the life of nature and space, and to head towards an unknown world. When I go out into the city, my head is shrouded by the world of darkness, leaving me unable to move and completely bound.
It is a way of life that one cannot escape from, a painful way of life, and eventually, the darkness begins to divide people, leading to destruction and forcing us into repeated cycles of sorrow.
I hope from the bottom of my heart to break free from such a world, to reclaim a life that lives in the infinite world, and to build a new era. On the 19th, we will soon have Master Idaki Shin's Entrepreneur Salon. I see this as a tremendous opportunity to break free from the darkness and soar into a new world. With heartfelt gratitude, I will head toward that day. Thank you very much.
