Today was the opening anniversary of Keiko Koma Skyrocket Center. We call it Foundation Day. Installing the “Koma” signboard in the basement, I shouted, “A nation-founding!” I declared out loud what I wanted to do most. Transcending current frameworks such as state and race, my nation-founding is one to create a world where we all connect inside. The center was built as a base to deliver to the world a new way of living and a new way of working. That was September 7th, 2008. After eleven years, I will go to Paris at the start of my new work. I have visited many places across the world to conduct the activities of NPO Koma. This year I will start my journey to open up a new path to create work. I look forward to what will be born and created when I live and move newly according to the new era. A movement unified with Great Being carries an aroma of great romance of history. Unable to predict or imagine anything, I’m excited, heading towards an unknown future. I know very well that a movement in unison with Great Being brings about wonderful results that far exceed any imagination―results that are good for everyone. Committing myself to stay beautiful inside no matter what, I start my journey to open up a new market in the world.
A day at the bustling Skyrocket Center was a brilliantly shining time. At sunset, a rainbow appeared across the vast sky, teaching me that a rainbow bridge spans the world. Happy to walk the path that is already progressing in the world, I’m filled with a sense of gratitude. I head to the world from here. Thank you very much.
