Messages from Keiko Koma

At Yui-Kobo in Yamamoto-cho, an area of the Tohoku earthquake disaster, for the first time in two months, Master Idaki Shin roasted coffee beans. It turned out to be a busy, bustling day. As I brewed freshly roasted coffee, I was touched to find that messages from the coffee were one with people in this world. I wouldn’t hear them if I couldn’t receive them. I wished to be a person who can hear precious messages from living existences. To pave the way for all to be saved and live in happiness, I want to do everything that I can.
The freshness of “Mt. Gojo” coffee is exceptional. It is as if I’m there. I’m happy just by feeling the wind of my dear homeland. I was delighted to experience it from the coffee today. More than ever, I wish to create a good world where everyone can live in happiness. For its realization someday, I intend to pick up speed. And I contemplate what I should do.
Today new coffee “Inochi” (life) was born. It’s the name of our day-care center to be opened on September 1st. I was moved by the emergence of coffee from which I sensed life itself. Wishing for everyone to be spirited, taking good care of each other’s lives, I feel blessed to keep working. Thank you very much.
