The day of the atomic bombing of Nagasaki. I offered my silent prayer at 11:02 AM. I’ve done the same every year wherever I am, even when on board an airplane. On the leaflet of the first piano concert of Master Idaki Shin held in Nagasaki, we used a photo of a sunset viewed from Inasa-yama Mountain, in the city, with the word “Inori (prayer)” handwritten by him. My experience at the place was indeed a “prayer.” On a hot summer day, like today, I was in burning pain while I walked up a slope―something I cannot forget. As if to offer my prayer, I kept walking to sell all the tickets for the concert. I wish for peace from the bottom of my heart.
At a gathering at Cafe Komaya Tokyo to listen to the recording of the “Legends of Koguryo Rediscovered” concert held in Biwako, I felt a “beautiful” world and sensed that the world would change. I understood deep inside that true beauty emerges from an encounter with a god. It fills me with joy and gratitude. Living beautifully builds a peaceful world. How beautiful the sounds are! A person who comes across such a world is sure to awaken as a human being. Today being an anti-Russia day in Japan, I came across many police officers, police cars, and barricades. Something awful could have easily happened. A beautiful space is created when people live beautifully under any circumstances. I will devote myself to living that way. Thank you very much.
