The day of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. As I offered my silent prayer, a pillar of will stood firm in the center of my life to create a peaceful world. I live determined to realize it. When I visited Hiroshima for the first time, I walked its streets, knowing no one, telling people I passed by about the purpose of the concert. I felt that I could sell out its tickets in a strange city on my own because I was one with the guidance of Great Being. Sorrow and pain in the place became my own. When we fail to be humans, the days we live will be meaningless and irrecoverable. We have to be human beings no matter what; that’s what living is.
These days I’ve been receiving messages from Ethiopia. Though I haven’t visited there for a while, I feel the energy and breath of its land through coffee beans. Through trade of goods, our hearts connect and interact. It’s something I talk about whenever I go abroad. When I come across beautiful crafts and small handmade objects, I see in them the beautiful hearts of those who made them. Wishing to share joy with people I live with in Japan, I sometimes buy many things that touch my heart. I believe that becoming connected in our hearts through goods is a way to create peace. From the Ethiopian coffee I have every day, I remember the time I visited all across Ethiopia. Produce from the land carries its history, energy, aroma, and wind. When I express in my poems wind and aroma, I feel delighted that I can connect with people across the world. Wind and aroma are messages of souls. My soul knows that someone is simultaneously expressing oneself somewhere out there. The expression of a soul reaches other souls, even if we have never met each other or use different languages. I’m grateful to pave the way for peace wherever I am. I feel it is important for every person to think earnestly about peace and live with a beautiful, rich internality to head towards its realization. Today I decorated the entrance of our day-care center with my mind-scape art. The center was built for the future of Japan. I was happy that the entrance turned about to be spatial, beautiful, and pretty. The center of the universe was set and the flowers of the universe bloomed. I created it and was delighted more than anyone else. I hope that people who come here embrace hope and spend a heart-enriching time, leaping into the world of a different dimension at once. I created the art, praying for the future of Japan and for peace in the world. Thank you very much.
