Messages from Keiko Koma
14th Mar. 2019

Yamamoto-cho was filled with mild sunlight. A strong wind was blowing and a chill still remained but I perceived a gentle energy with my life that told me of the arrival of spring. Since childhood, I had known with my life that a sad history is engraved on the land and that it created the energy in space. Because I was born with an ability and sensitivity naturally to understand the history of a land through the pain and agony I receive from the land, I always suffered pain wherever I went. On the 11th of March, on the day we had the one year anniversary of Yui-kobo in Yamamoto-cho, a disaster-stricken area, space was noisy, my body was hurting, and I was going through unbearable pain. We held Master Idaki Shin’s concert the next day at Sendai, where we experienced the spirits of the dead turning into light, a sense that was heading towards the end, and what didn’t let me escape from the past had gone away from my body. I feel that I have completely been reborn. I can think more freely and understand the richness of life, living in unity with all lives. Now I realize well that pains and agonies were made from the senses from the past. I perceive with my life now that a human is indeed a being that is able to live a rich and beautiful life, and I am truly grateful from the bottom of my heart for being able to live a new life.
At Yui-kobo in Yamamoto-cho, I had a wonderful and rich day today as well, being given a precious opportunity to brew a coffee that was roasted by Master Idaki Shin and being taught by the coffee what is pivotal in life. Thank you very much.
