Beautiful wind

In May mountains were brilliantly shining and beautiful winds were blowing everywhere. I started my concert tour for rebuilding our country and departed my home. I recalled my journey to my ancestor Koguryo’s historic sites that I did for the first time in my life. It was in May in the year 1998 and before the departure I was filled with hope for encountering an unknown but more wonderful future than what I could imagine. Everything looked wide open to me and was brilliantly shining. Winds in May were carrying Koguryo’s atmosphere. On my way to Kyoto, my fellow presented me a oak rice cake that made my eyes filled with tears as my mother who has been dead for years used to handmake some when I was a child. We went to a wood near my home to pick up leaves of an oak tree and jointly worked on them. I recalled that when I visited Wandu castle city and climbed up on the top of surrounding fortification wall, I walked through wild bushes and rejoiced at the sight of its stone foundation that remained untouched and true to its original state one thousand and nine hundreds years ago. Everything made me greatly excited and happy as I could envision Koguryo people who were cheerfully climbing side by side with us. Owing to their encouragement I went up with ease to the top of the surrounding mountains. At that time I also recalled the days of making rice cakes with my mother as there was an aroma of oak trees that was carried by a wind and nourished my life. Koguryo’s historic sites were located in the north-east part of China and there we were often served with oak rice cakes that made me extremely happy and I always enjoyed having them. I love food originating from the historic sites of Koguryo, such as beans, rice, vegetables, wild plants, etc. In reality I was born to love them as my life had inherited many things from Koguryo’s history. Human life was indeed very mysterious. Owing to Mr. Idaki Shin my life was liberated from all the negative influences of Koguryo’s history and the souls of my ancestors were resurrected, as a result of which I realized the true mission of my life. In a poem I narrated at the Legends of Koguryo Rediscovered concert, I wrote about the spirituality of my ancestor that a king of Koguryo could remain with the crown as long as he was capable of making everybody live a happy life. Likewise since childhood every day I prayed for everybody on earth to live a healthy and happy life. Now that I could encounter Mr. Idaki Shin, I trembled with joy as I realized the essential state of human life, and the true meaning of peace that was to allow everyone to manifest one’s own nature in our society and live a brilliantly shining life. I was extremely grateful to my life as I was realizing this in my own life. Joined by a beautiful wind, my life was fully animated and my heart was filled with internal richness. Swiftly I sailed away for building new country together with Great Being. I was vigorously creating our beautiful future. Trees were brilliantly shining as if they were purified by a new pure water. Flowers looked like heavenly angels and a fresh wind seemed to tell me that all the souls of people were resurrected and now they joyfully joined us. I wished to share with everybody this beautiful moment that was connected to an eternal world.
