Future

As I stood in front of the Yasaka tower and closed my eyes I envisioned the faces of people who had built the tower, and they told me that, having lost their dynasty, Koguryo’s people had no way but always to entrust themselves to an unknown future when their deepest wishes would be fulfilled, and now the time had come. I trembled at the vision and realized the mission of my life representing all my ancestors was to create a marvelous future for humankind. At today’s talk event held at the Koma gallery Café, Mr. Idaki Shin handmade special food for us, and everybody sitting around one big wooden table appreciated its beautiful taste of something beyond this world. This scene seemed to corresponded to some of ancient Koguryo’s wall paintings drawing scenes of daily life. When I saw them I received a message that people wished to live together even after death, as they lived truly happy lives. Later when I watched a TV report about Koguryo’s wall paintings it said the same thing. We realized the heart of ancient Koguryo’s people and the brilliant moment of life that would shine in eternity while we shared the special food and talked together. I was extremely grateful to this precious moment.
