Mountains of Jian
For the main visual of free papers I made for Kyoto, I used my photo standing in front of the tomb of king Kotai in Jian and I enjoyed watching it as it made me recall in my mind the marvelous sky and mountains of the land of king Kotai. The air was so transparent and pure that I could see remote mountains through light haze. I felt as if I were standing in a land of god where king Kotai’s vigorous energy as a magnificent fighter and life unified with all the living things in nature even at a battle field. Naturally I said that he had always protected his fellows at the risk of his own life. As I went up to a surveillance tower at Wandu castle city, I received the same message from Mother Earth. I thoroughly realized with my life the state of life of king Kotai. Today within my internality I envisioned the sky of Jian and mountains seen from the tomb of king Kotai and the surveillance tower. They were assimilated into a heavenly large sky and I embraced an image of the great father of Koguryo far beyond the scene. I realized the breath of ancient Koguryo’s people who endeavored to realize a wonderful and enormous dream at the risk of their life. At the Idaki Shin concert held in Kyoto, he delivered a message that a modern human being should realize the tremendous powers within one’s life to manifest them in order to survive. I understood that we needed to become even more energetic than extremely powerful ancient super people who had built the pyramid of a general at an historic site of Koguryo and those who carried an enormous block of stone to Baalbeck. Moment by moment I was living a vigorous life embracing within my heart the magnificent view of mountains and an eternal world far beyond ours.
