Water Flowers
My marbling art works that I had created receiving early morning sunbeams looked like water flowers that were dancing in the air. I have never seen anything so beautiful so I described their beauty as imaginary water flowers . On recalling their beauty, my heart became animated. They might represent a lovely woman’s heart or her sorrowful teardrops that purified one’s heart. Also I made calligraphy on papers with marbling drawings. In so doing I concentrated my internality on the vast universe and I felt an extreme happiness while I wrote down my poem with black paint. A special wind of soul had come from an unknown direction. It should know people’s souls for building a new nation. Everything I had created today such as calligraphy works and ties made me acknowledge that numerous souls were gathering here to build a new nation together with us. Blown by this special wind at the terrace of the Koma gallery Café and by listening to the sound of opening a wooden window, I realized that my life was not alone and my ancestor’s souls were talking to me. They had listened to the same sound in ancient times as I did today. I became confident that more memories from past history would revive as more people would listen to this sound. I had never imagined in the past that I would open a Café in Kyoto and serve customers together with my fellow staff. I was amazed at the dramatic development in my life. The beauty of water flowers was shining brilliantly in my mind, and showed me that our future would be glorious and as beautiful as its full bloom.
