Mind-scape drawings

The view of the Yasaka tower seen from the terrace at the second floor of the Koma gallery Café at Yasaka was indeed marvelous and always impressed me. Today, under the beautiful sunlight of autumn, it was shining brilliantly together with surrounding trees and winds and waved at them as well as at my heart, making me extremely happy and joyful. I realized that souls of people were also addressing me. I made calligraphies on special Japanese traditional papers that I created with marbling, and then I put patches of colorful papers to finish my mind-scape art works that were designed to visualize the internality of my mind. I came to know that these Japanese papers, black paints and brushes were all originated from ancient Koguryo. So I enjoyed feeling the atmosphere of my ancestors’ life and culture. The newly created marbling papers were dramatically beautiful and mysterious as they looked three-dimensional and alive. Naturally I raised my voice of appreciation. My heart was animated and filled with joy anticipating more wonderful things to come.
