Wind of Koma

At midnight I started to create marbling art works in the inner yard of the Koma gallery Café. I placed large blue sheets to cover the entire yard and hung wires for drying textiles after marbling them. Accidental encounters made dramatic patterns and designs that made me feel the earth, the universe and even the world far beyond Heaven. I loved this moment of creation and I had to concentrate myself completely. On a hot summer day, I might have said that there was no wind, then from somewhere, pleasant winds started to blow invited by a wind bell hung over a counter of our shop. The wind bell became an important member for creating marbling works at the Koma gallery, Yasaka. Its wind of Koguryo carried the voice of souls of ancient Koguryo people and taught me how to build a wonderful nation where everybody could live a truly happy life. They repeatedly told me that to create a completely new world was the key to realize this in our actual world. Accompanied by winds of Koguryo and bearing hope at heart for a marvelous future, I would joyfully walk around Kyoto and be excited to express the voices of the truth. The Azuki sweets handmade by Mr. Idaki Shin greatly encouraged me as they were full of powerful energy of love and cherished my life. They made me determined to open our way and realize a new world for us to live on whatever might come in the future.
