Gion festival

As I drove back to my home in Kyoto through traditional Hoko decorations along the street, my home was at the center of the Gion festival and as I heard that it was originally started by my ancestors, the Koma people, I realized the reason why I had chosen my place there. In my teens I frequented Kiyomizu temple and Yasaka shrine and enjoyed marvelous visions, light and breezes that carried the atmosphere of my ancestors and their souls. However it was my first time to see the Gion festival and I managed to avail my schedule since months ago. Also our new office was facing a big stage overlooking the festival. In the middle of the festivity we would hold many events at our new office and at the Koma gallery café at Yasaka, Mr. Idaki Shin would handmade Kaiun Zenzai, lucky sweet beans. I was extremely happy to spend special days in Kyoto that seemed to guide us to realizing my dream of Mt. Gojo.
