In Kanazawa
At the Hakusanhiki shrine
This mountain was their god
And paid a great respect to the works of nature,
As each individual’s life began shining
Only when every creature’s life was lively and brilliant.
Human life had a beautiful heart at its core
And had an eternal nature.
On the way to Kanazawa
Mountains looked brilliant and shone blue.
Then a beautiful blue sea came into my eyes.
The seascape made me yearn for a remote day, far even before my birth.
When my ancestors had come ashore here across the vast sea,
They never doubted that one day they would go back home
And worked very hard every day with this hope in mind.
As I stood on the sea side, I could envision their life and realized their sadness
When they had to face the reality: there was no way back home.
Thereafter they entrusted their dearest wish to an unknown future:
Not in their lifetime, but sometime in the future.
Many generations have passed, and now it was the time for every soul,
Once scattered into every direction, to wake up and get together here again
To live an eternal life in this newly manifested world.
We were greatly welcomed by the world of souls.
Thank you very much.
