Father of Koguryo

For the first time at the Legends of Koguryo Rediscovered concert held in Iran I could narrate the entire poem entitled “Father of Koguryo” true to its original text. I felt the opening of a new future. Also I could narrate a message I had received at an ancient holy site of Zoroaster. As I knew that expression of a new world was a key to opening a marvelous future, I was looking forwards to see future development of our activities after this concert in Iran. Poetic expression itself was identical to my life, so either at the Messages from Mother Earth concert or at the Legends of Koguryo Rediscovered concert, sometimes I refrained from narrating poems when I felt that the time had not yet come. My expression was always naturally coming out from my life. Father of Koguryo was a short poem, however, its meaning covered a long history. As I narrated this poem accompanied by the Koma flute played by Mr. Idaki Shin, I felt my dream would come true. I was greatly impressed and excited anticipating that before long I would talk more about the true meaning of it.

Having returned to Japan in the morning
Birds were singing merrily and a beautiful voice was heard
Through a wide open window.
I was filled with hope for a new opening of my future
When I felt that I had never heard such a beautiful voice.
Then all of a sudden, I recalled having heard a similar sound
At Mt. Wandu castle.
Its pure voice of birds could be heard in the surrounding space only when
People were filled with happiness at heart.
The happy high times of Wandu castle city, an ancient home of Koguryo,
Were provided to my home in Tokyo.
The space was connected all over.
When a person acknowledged the true state of happiness, then
Exquisitely beautiful voices of birds would express the beauty of our world.
What a joy to live on filled with love!
