Building a nation
It was raining in Kyoto and I held a lecture event entitled ‘A Night for Building a Nation’ that started with a video screening of the Legends of Koguryo Rediscovered concert held last December in Kyoto. Before tonight’s event, I have been very excited anticipating something very big to happen: my heartbeat became very fast and I needed to keep on taking deep breaths and stand up straight forward in order not to fall down. I felt the presence of numerous people’s souls much bigger than the total audience. My event expressed a great romanticism of history and Mr. Idaki Shin has musically created a marvelous world of human wisdom and beauty. One could regain the pride of being in humankind and acknowledge the endless nature of our life. My mind and body trembled as I was greatly moved by his music. The process of creating the Legends of Koguryo Rediscovered project was full of dramatic stories that would take me years just to tell about. Later tonight, we broadcast through internet live, a talk program of mine with Mr. Idaki Shin that was filmed at the Koma gallery café at Yasaka. I installed mind-scape tapestries behind us. Though I was telling my own story by myself, I was greatly impressed as my life was full of miraculous incidents. Human life was really precious. I always gave myself my deepest gratitude.
A great romanticism in history
Koguryo was born out of glorious light blessed by Heaven.
However, its true history has been hidden.
Now eternal light was coming from the world far beyond the universe
To manifest the truth in our era.
The world of souls was eternal.
Encounter.
Resurrection.
The time for rebuilding an authentic human world.
Sadness of humankind.
Grievances.
Love.
Everything was here to completely renew one’s life and
To start living an eternal life.
