2nd May. 2014

Time

It was on the 2nd of May three years ago that I entered Morioka to promote the Idaki Shin charity concert for the great Tohoku disaster on the next day after having visited a disaster hit area to serve free coffee to everybody there. Between appointments I looked for a restaurant to have lunch and drove through the city and all of a sudden my heart was greatly moved and beautiful field of cherry blossoms and willows by a river came into my sight. They were waving to a wind with fresh energies of new buds and were brilliantly shining. I stopped the car and walked along the river and the beauty of cherry blossoms greatly moved my heart and I shed tears. The flow of the river seemed to tell me that it knew this light-scape since ancient times. I felt that I was traveling in time. The nostalgic aroma moved my heart and the encounter with the light-scape made me decide to set up my place there and spontaneously I loudly declared this. Instantly I was lost, unable to understand what had happened. Ever since I left the riverside and came back to Tokyo I have still felt that something important started at that moment. I could not resist realizing my deepest wish so I moved on and set up my new office and also bought my home in Morioka. I had never imagined this in my life but I was destined to do so. Three years have passed I returned to the riverside on the same date and speculated over the future of the Tohoku district and Japan and the opportunity to realize the light-scape that I had encountered when I came there for the first time. This should be the beginning of a new movement.
