My homeland
I was presented with a history book on Koguryo published in China that covered many photos of historic sites that moved my heart with great nostalgia and automatically I burst into tears to my big surprise; they were photos of Wandu castle city, Kokunai city, tombs, mural paintings, an inscription of king Kotai, the general’s tomb, etc. The blue sky and fresh wind made a light-scape that pleased my soul with pride. My heart yearned for an unknown future and was greatly touched at the sight of my homeland. I was grateful to this and would seriously live on here and now.
A photo of Kokunai city made me recall the warmth and happiness of people living all together in ancient times in the Koguryo dynasty and the fresh herbal aroma I had felt when I was walking along the city under a small rain in May of the year 1998.
When I climbed up Wandu castle city, I received a message from Mother Earth that our life was one and without being unified at the internality no one could survive. Nature was full of life energy and demonstrated people’s happiness even in an era of wars. I became awakened to this as the core of human life and out of joy I created a poem saying that Wandu castle city was the home of love. I was grateful to be presented with the book on this occasion that guided me to recall the experience of having visited my homeland that was full of love with a special atmosphere and wind for opening up a marvelous future. Thank you indeed. I would concentrate myself to live on in the world three stages before the Big Bang, learn how to live in this new world, and keep on creating a peaceful world. To my great joy I am now at the land that is situated at 40 degrees north latitude, which was the same as my homeland.
