Land of Mitaka

 

Today we held the Idaki Shin concert at Mitaka where my ancestors lived for many generations. I drove through Mitaka to go to the concert hall and many memories revived such as about my parents. There were both sad and nostalgic memories and especially I felt sadness of other relatives of mine who did not understand the meaning of our concert and would end their life without realizing the truth, while I have been organizing our concert as I wished to share this with people all over the world. In reality many foreign people welcomed our concert with open hearts and we were enjoying a family relationship. Like this I knew that everybody on earth would be able to live a happy and peaceful life without any conflicts, and I became encouraged to keep on holding our concert to give an opportunity to those who have not yet participated in one.
The name of today’s concert hall was “Wind Hall” and true to the name, I always felt a special wind and today a wind of the sea was blowing around during the concert. I used to be afraid of the sea however owing to the expression of today’s concert I became liberated from fear and realized the true love of living unified with nature. I was grateful to this.
Japan was a country of many earthquakes so we were living in an unstable land and I always felt a threat from nature. However today’s concert expressed the sea as “Watatsumi” an ancient way to describe the divinity of the sea that made me realize the true nature of the sea and huge potentials other than threats, tension and fear became clear. I realized that it was time for every human being to regain the sensitivity to live together with nature. I felt grateful from the bottom of my heart to Master Idaki Shin who allowed us to have a most precious wisdom for us to live on by way of his musical expressions.
