History

Both the Tomei and Chuou highway from Tokyo to Kyoto were full of historic names associated with my ancestor and made me feel that I was traveling in history. Today also the orange sunset manifested a nostalgic history while I have been travelling to Kyoto once a month ever since I built the Koma gallery Café in Kyoto. Today’s sunset looked very mysterious as it was in orange color and I was amazed at the huge variety of sunsets seen on different occasions. In reality the word “history” could signify very different things and in my early days it was always associated with bloody wars, grievances and pains leaving space full of regrets. However today’s sunset expressed a touch of history for opening up a beautiful human era for life. I was filled with hope for a future.
As I arrived at my home in Kyoto the photo frame of the Yasaka tower entitled “Blue Wind” that looked like ever stretching towards Heaven that I had photographed welcomed me at the bedroom. For me this was a symbol for expanding my activities in an ascending manner. I recalled that I had taken the photo when I thought about reducing my activities in Kyoto so I considered it as the message of a light-scape to move on. I embraced this always at heart and installed the photo frame in my bedroom between a marbling curtain and a purple marbling arch with calligraphy that said Koguryo, wind, aroma, eternity and love. My bedroom was full of energy that always reminded me of the principal ideas of my activities in Kyoto and the reason why I had opened my spaces there. It is time to move forward unified with souls of every fellow people. I swear to achieve my goal at any rate.
