When I went to Ethiopia for the first time at Askum I envisioned a light-scape that showed me that a light would meet another light to transform our world. I tried to visualize the vision at that time in vain. In the year 2006, my dream was realized and I visited Mt. Gojo, the birthplace of Koguryo dynasty and at the ruin of the palace of king Tomei I closed my eyes to envision the same light-scape. Now I knew how to express this as I had started creating what I called mind-scape drawings as the expression of light of life and my prayers for the safety of my fellow Lebanese after a traditional Japanese manner of making one stitch with one prayer in response to the bombing of Lebanon by the Israel army that caused much loss of human lives and destruction of cities. Then I created broaches and neck ties. A light of a person would meet a light of another person to create a completely new world that was a truly peaceful one allowing everybody to live on. Today I talked about this story at the Café Akira salon gathering and my soul trembled as I felt the time had come. The coming Idaki shin concert to be held at Ginza would be transmitted live by internet to Lebanon and a light of life would truly meet others during the improvisational concert and we would experience the moment of encounter with Great Being to change and open up the future of our world. I would participate in this concert with great gratitude representing every human being on earth.
