Mt. Gojo

At the café Akira salon gathering held at Roppongi I screened the video of Mt. Gojo the birth place of Koguryo, filmed and edited by Mr. Idaki Shin and the rhythm of its music and images of fortification walls and each brick made me realize the soul of ancient Koguryo. Then as I went to the ground floor to give my video lecture, I watched the photo of Mt. Gojo under snow falls that I had photographed and it became connected to another photo of a tree stretching towards Heaven and my life trembled as I felt that a wind had come to wave to the tree in the photo. I felt as if Iwere standing in the middle of Mt. Gojo. Great joy was born. And I was enormously moved by the straightforward tree that showed me how to live a truthful and beautiful life while the passage leading up to the top of the mountain, Tenshoudai, looked extremely beautiful and pure. It manifested marvelously the high spirituality of Koguryo. Come snow falls in winter or fresh and brilliant greening of trees in spring or ever stretching blue sky in summer or turning of colors of leaves into red in autumn, Mt. Gojo has always been my home I embraced at heart where I could realize the presence of souls of my ancestors who had lived a beautiful, pure and strong life. Just by being touched by a wind of Mt. Gojo, my life became extremely vigorous and my soul trembled. My ancestor’s soul became a wind and addressed me. So wind has been my bearing for opening up a way to realize a global peace. The path to Mt. Gojo would unify all the East Asian countries that would lead to make the world truly peaceful. I would walk along with Great Being.
