Building a country
They installed a big tapestry work of mine that I named “king Tomei” on the second floor of the Koma gallery Café at Yasaka, Kyoto that faced the Yasaka tower. I had considered this year as the year for building a new country so I had decided to show this at the Koma. This tapestry was exhibited at the center of the exhibition hall in Beirut in Lebanon when we held there my mind-scape exhibition. At that time Mr. Idaki Shin called this art work “wisdom of king Tomei” while Prof. Ghazi of a Lebanese university called this “hope and dream of Lebanon”. Mr. Idaki Shin also said that this piece of art looked like a holy shrine that was standing as a pole of human spirituality; people would regain peace at heart. Its brilliantly shining image in Beirut was revived today within my mind as it was now standing at the Koma gallery Café at Yasaka and the wisdom of king Tomei was connected to the souls of people all over the world. I realized that our activities here would influence the rest of the world. My life became filled with vigor and energy to move forwards and realize an authentic peace all over the world. I knew that the more people who started living a beautiful life in their internality, the more transparent and pure became the surrounding space and circumstances, so that any bad intentions and plots would become visible and be failed. As long as each person would keep rich human sensitivities, one would never be controlled by outer forces and one could live an autonomous life, while the Idaki counseling courses were designed to awaken people to this. So having held the courses for about thirty years, this autumn, we felt myself quite prepared to manifest the power of autonomous human life and influence to the world. As I watched my tapestry work and appreciated the brilliantly shining soul of king Tomei, I recalled that king Tomei had built a new country, Koguryo, out of nothing, as he wished to create a new community that would allow everybody to live a shining life in happiness and vigor. I became greatly encouraged to follow him to open up a marvelous future. As I stood in front of the Yasaka tower, I realized that if we looked only at things happening before our eyes we would fall down on the ground and we should always focus on opening up our future to drastically and dramatically change the actual situation all at once. A person whose heart was connected to a world far beyond the universe looked brilliantly shining as a pole of cosmic light. I would remain true to this so that many poles of light would prevail all over to make the earth filled with light. This was the message I had received from king Kotai who had expanded the territory of Koguryo’s dynasty all at once. I would move on my version of building a country together with and guided by the soul of the founder of an ancient kingdom and that of a variant king who had greatly widened his world wishing to allow everybody to live on. Thank you very much.
